Company begins performances tonight at Barrington Stage.

The winner of seven Tony Awards, the musical by Stephen Sondheim (music and lyrics) and George Furth (book) is described as "a wildly funny look at relationships. Over a series of dinner parties, dates and conversations with his friends, the perennially single Bobby attempts to understand the pros and cons of marriage and the meaning of the word 'commitment.'"

Julianne Boyd directs the cast featuring Aaron Tveit as Robert, Lawrence Street as Harry, Kate Loprest as Susan, Jeanette Bayardelle as Sarah, Paul A. Schaefer as Peter, Jane Pfitsch as Jenny, James Ludwig as David, Lauren Marcus as Amy, Joseph Spieldenner as Paul, Ellen Harvey as Joanne, Peter Reardon as Larry, Mara Davi as April, Nora Schell as Marta, and Rebecca Kuznick as Kathy.

Barrington Stage Company is a not-for-profit professional theater company with a threefold mission: to produce top-notch, compelling work; to develop new plays and musicals; and to find fresh, bold ways of bringing new audiences to the theater, especially young people.

Performances continue through September 2.
