Cherry Jones to Star in John Tiffany’s Production of The Glass Menagerie at A.R.T.

Tony and Emmy Award winner Cherry Jones will play Amanda Wingfield in A.R.T’s production of Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, to begin performances on February 2. The production will be directed by Tony Award winner John Tiffany. Additional cast and creative team will be announced at a later date.

Jones was a founding member of the A.R.T. and has appeared multiple times on the A.R.T. stage during the last 30 years, including Three Sisters, King Lear, and Lysistrata. She won Tony Awards for her work in Doubt and The Heiress, and most recently appeared on Broadway in Mrs. Warren’s Profession. She won the Emmy for 24 and recently starred in the NBC drama Awake.


Tiffany won the 2102 Tony Award for his direction of the musical Once and is also currently represented on stage by Macbeth, which is at Glasgow’s Tramway Theatre prior to a run next month as part of New York’s Lincoln Center Festival.
