Tony Award winning star Bernadette Peters will headline the 22nd annual gala to benefit The Price Center, a regional leader in providing care to adults with developmental disabilities. The gala will take place on Friday, October 5, at the Marriott Copley Place Hotel.

Peters will be backed by a 10-piece band as she performs from the American Songbook and other well-known classics. She will take the stage as part of a full evening of entertainment that also includes a set by Boston’s favorite doo-wop group the G-Clefs.

This year’s gala will also honor James T. Brett, president and CEO of The New England Council. Jim Brett will be introduced at the Gala by Joseph P. Kennedy III, candidate for Congress.

Peters recently appeared as Sally Durant Plummer in the Broadway revival of Follies. She received Tony Awards for Song and Dance and Annie Get Your Gun, and was honored at this year’s Tony Awards ceremony with the Isabelle Stevenson Award.
