Leigh Barrett and More Announced to Star in Gypsy

Lyric Stage Company of Boston has announced casting for its upcoming production of Gypsy, running from September 1-October 8.

The company will star Leigh Barrett (Company) as Rose, Kirsten Salpini (Murder for Two) as Louise, Kira Troilo (Camelot) as June, Steven Barkhimer (Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) as Herbie, and Brady Miller (42nd Street national tour) as Tulsa. The ensemble will include David Alea (Yonkers), Todd Yard (Uncle Jocko), Remo Airaldi (Pops, Cigar), Kathy St. George (Mazeppa), Jordan Clark (Electra), Shannon Lee Jones (Tessie Tura), Anna Chensny (Agnes), and Davron S. Monroe.

The creative team includes scenic design by Janie E. Howland, costume design by Rafael Jaen, lighting design by Frank Meissner Jr., and sound design by Andrew Duncan Will.

Gypsy features a book and lyrics by Arthur Laurents, music by Jule Styne, and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. The Lyric Stage production is directed and choreographed by Rachel Bertone with music direction by Dan Rodriguez.
