Sarah Ruhl, Stephen Sondheim, and More on Tap for Lyric Stage Company Season

Works by Stephen Sondheim and Sarah Ruhl are on tap for the 2017-18 season at the Lyric Stage Company of Boston.

The season will include Sondheim and John Weidman's Road Show, as well as Sondheim, Jule Styne, and Arthur Laurents' Gypsy, alongside Ruhl's Orlando. Also on tap are Stephen Temperley's Souvenir, A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins, and the William F. Brown and Charles Smalls musical The Wiz.

Lyric Stage artistic director Spiro Veloudos will helm Road Show and Souvenir, with Rachel Bertone directing and choreographing Gypsy, A. Nora Long staging Orlando, and Dawn M. Simmons directing The Wiz.

Additional information, including dates and casting, will be announced in the coming months. The Lyric Stage Company of Boston is Boston’s oldest resident theatre company.
