The Wolves, Pacific Overtures Announced for Lyric Stage's 2018-19 Season

The season will also include new productions of ”The Little Foxes”, ”Twelfth Night”, and ”Kiss of the Spider Woman”.

Lyric Stage Company has announced its 2018-19 season.

Three musicals will be part of the lineup. Rachel Bertone will direct and choreograph the opening production: John Kander, Fred Ebb, and Terrence McNally's musical Kiss of the Spider Woman. Spiro Veloudos, the company's producing artistic director, will direct a production of Stephen Sondheim and John Weidman's Pacific Overtures. And the company will present Breath & Imagination, a musical by Dan Beaty about Roland Hayes, who is reputed to be the first world-renowned African-American classical vocalist, in collaboration with the Front Porch Arch Collective. Maurice Emmanuel Parent will direct the production.

The rest of the season will include productions of Twelfth Night, presented in collaboration with Actors' Shakespeare Project and directed by Paula Plum; Lillian Hellman's The Little Foxes, directed by Scott Edmiston; Sarah DeLappe's The Wolves, directed by A. Nora Long; and Jen Silverman's The Roommate, directed by Veloudos.
