The Color Purple star Cynthia Erivo received another honor to go with her 2016 Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Awards: a Sardi's caricature.

Erivo was presented with the drawing on July 12, in front of a room filled with her stage costars, including Danielle Brooks and Heather Headley, and Broadway pals like Leslie Odom Jr. and Laura Benanti.

Erivo made her Broadway debut John Doyle's production of The Color Purple, which opened on December 10 and won a 2016 Tony for Best Revival of a Musical. Adapted from the novel of the same name by Alice Walker, The Color Purple features a book by Marsha Norman with music and lyrics by Brenda Russell, Allee Willis, and Stephen Bray.
