Anastasia Cast Members Derek Klena and Caroline O'Connor to End Their Runs

They will play their final performances in March.

Original cast members Derek Klena and Caroline O'Connor will play their final performances as Dmitry and Lily in Anastasia on March 25. Klena and O’Connor are original members of the Broadway company. New casting for the two roles will be announced shortly.

Anastasia opened at the Broadhurst Theatre on April 24. The musical features a book by Terrence McNally and an original score by Tony winners Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics). Tony winner Darko Tresnjak directs. Ahrens and Flaherty penned the tunes for the 1997 animated film on which the stage musical is based, and have expanded their score, which contains the songs "Once Upon a December" and "Journey to the Past," for the theatrical production.

In addition to Klena and O'Connor, the current cast includes Zach Adkins, Alex Aquilino, Sissy Bell, Lauren Blackman, Kathryn Boswell, Kyle Brown, Kristen Smith Davis, Janet Dickinson, Constantine Germanacos, Wes Hart, Ian Knauer, Ken Krugman, Dustin Layton, Julia Morgan, Shina Ann Morris, Kevin Munhall, James A. Pierce III, Molly Rushing, Nicole Scimeca, Jennifer Smith. and Lyrica Woodruff.

The creative team features Peggy Hickey (choreography), Alexander Dodge (set design), Linda Cho (costume design), Donald Holder (lighting design), Peter Hylenski (sound design), Aaron Rhyne (projection design), Charles G. LaPointe (hair/wig design), Joe Dulude II (makeup design), Tom Murray (music supervision and direction), and Doug Besterman (orchestrations).
