Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic musical plays at the Neil Simon Theatre.
Producers have announced the launch of an online ticket lottery for the Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats. The lottery will open daily at 10am, and 8:30am for matinee performances, for entrants to win a limited number of $40 same-day tickets to that day’s performances.
Winners will be notified by e-mail minutes after the drawing and will have 60 minutes to pay for their tickets with a credit card online. They must present their photo ID at the Neil Simon Theatre box office at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the corresponding performance to pick up their tickets. Seat locations and number of tickets awarded by the lottery are subject to availability.
The Cats principal company will be made up of Quentin Earl Darrington (Ragtime) as Old Deuteronomy, Eloise Kropp (Dames at Sea) as Jennyanydots/Gumbie, Leona Lewis as Grizabella, Ricky Ubeda (On the Town) as Mr. Mistoffelees, and Tyler Hanes (A Bed and a Chair) as Rum Tum Tugger.
The musical's original West End and Broadway director Trevor Nunn will helm the production, with choreography by Hamilton's Andy Blankenbuehler, based on the original choreography by Gillian Lynne, and with associate direction by Lynne. The creative team for the new Broadway production will also include sound design by Mick Potter, lighting design by Natasha Katz, and scenic and costume design by John Napier.
