Watch Mark Rylance in the Trailer for Broadway's Farinelli and the King

The music of Handel underscores the regal Broadway production.

Oscar and three-time Tony winner Mark Rylance is back on Broadway in Claire van Kampen's Farinelli and the King, now running at the Belasco Theatre.

Directed by John Dove, Rylance plays King Philippe V of Spain, whose crippling insomnia is cured by Farinelli — a castrato with a voice so divine it has the power to captivate all who hear it. Grammy Award-winning countertenor Iestyn Davies sings Handel arias as the voice of Farinelli, alternating performances with acclaimed countertenor James Hall.

Take a look at the trailer for the production, featuring luscious designs by Jonathan Fensom and a taste of the show's baroque score.
