Flashback Friday: Jitney's Brandon Dirden Helps Us Celebrate MLK Day

Before his next Broadway opening, we look back on the actor’s last turn as Martin Luther King Jr.

With Martin Luther King Day coming up on Monday, we wanted to celebrate the holiday in appropriate Broadway fashion. Fortuitously, that led us straight to Brandon Dirden, who opens in the Broadway debut of August Wilson's Jitney next week, and who also played a perfect MLK in the 2014 Tony-winning play All the Way. If you don't believe us, take a look at an impromptu sermon he gave from the audience of The View. If Barbara Walters was impressed, you should be too.
