The cast of the Tony-nominated musical Groundhog Day will celebrate the release of their original Broadway cast recording with an in-store performance and album signing event at Barnes & Noble (150 East 86th Street) tomorrow, May 19, at 4:30pm. Doors will open at 4pm.

Cast members slated to perform include the show's three-time Tony-nominated star Andy Karl, who recently won the Olivier and Outer Critics Circle Awards for his performance as Phil Connors, as well as Barrett Doss, Rebecca Faulkenberry, Andrew Call, and Raymond J. Lee. Fans who purchase the CD at the store will be offered priority seating.

Based on the 1993 film, Groundhog Day (2017 Olivier Award-winning Best Musical) features a score by Matilda The Musical composer Tim Minchin and is directed by Matlida's Matthew Warchus, with original screenwriter Danny Rubin providing the book. The story follows disgruntled weatherman Phil Connors who finds himself stuck in small-town America reliving the same day over and over and over again.

The musical opened at the August Wilson Theatre on April 17. The cast album, produced by Chris Nightingale, Michael Croiter, and Tim Minchin, is now available both digitally and on CD via Masterworks Broadway/Broadway Records.
