Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Releases Special Tickets Available Today Only

Patrons have the opportunity to pay $20 per part in person at the Lyric Theatre box office.

Producers have announced that 1,200 tickets to the first preview performances of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child on Broadway will be available today (Saturday, March 10) only for $20 per part ($40 total). Tickets can be purchased in person at the Lyric Theatre box office on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 8pm.

Patrons will secure a seat for Part One on March 16 at 8pm and Part Two on March 17 at 8pm. There is a maximum purchase of two tickets for both Part One and Part Two per person.

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a new play written by Thorne and directed by Tiffany. The production is one play presented in two parts. Both parts are intended to be seen in order on the same day (matinee and evening) or on two consecutive evenings. The production received its world premiere in July 2016 at the Palace Theatre in London, where it continues to play to sold-out houses. It opens on Broadway on April 22.

The production features seven of the original West End production's stars reprising their roles: Jamie Parker (Harry Potter), Noma Dumezweni (Hermione Granger), Paul Thornley (Ron Weasley), Poppy Miller (Ginny Potter), Sam Clemmett (Albus Potter), Alex Price (Draco Malfoy), and Anthony Boyle (Scorpius Malfoy).

They are joined by David Abeles, Brian Abraham, Shirine Babb, Jess Barbagallo, Stephen Bradbury, Lauren Nicole Cipoletti, Joshua De Jesus, Jessie Fisher, Richard Gallagher, Susan Heyward, Geraldine Hughes, Edward James Hyland, Byron Jennings, Katie Kreisler, Joey LaBrasca, Andrew Long, Kathryn Meisle, Angela Reed, Dave Register, Adeola Role, James Romney, Malika Samuel, Alanna Saunders, David St. Louis, Stuart Ward, Madeline Weinstein, Alex Weisman, and Benjamin Wheelwright playing a variety of characters.

The production also includes movement by Steven Hoggett, a set by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music and arrangements by Imogen Heap, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, illusions and magic by Jamie Harrison, and music supervision and arrangements by Martin Lowe.
