The event will also include a celebratory send off to Jersey Boys, commemorating the blockbuster hit musical's eleven years on Broadway before it closes January 15. The performance, written and directed by continuing original cast member Peter Gregus, will feature more than sixty of the show’s stars from past and present, including Mark Ballas, Richard Blake, Charl Brown, Andy Karl, Drew Seeley, and Jarrod Spector.

Gypsy of the Year is an annual tradition honoring the work of the theater's ensemble singers and dancers, commonly referred to as "gypsies." Throughout the two days of performances, 200 New York City gypsies and their special guests will perform original skits, songs, and dances. Awards will be presented to the top fundraisers, as well as to the artist with the best presentation. Since 1989, the 26 editions of Gypsy of the Year have raised $67.2 million to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
