Lena Hall Celebrates Hedwig With a "Tear Me Down" Music Video

”Hedwig and the Angry Inch” is the first musical tribute of the Tony Award-winning rock-and-roller’s ”Obsessed” series.

The first music video of Lena Hall's Obsessed series dropped today, featuring Hall's rendition of "Tear Me Down," the opening number of Stephen Trask and John Cameron Mitchell's Tony-winning musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Hall earned a Tony Award for her performance as Yitzhak in the musical's 2014 Broadway revival, and as such, is paying homage to the show by giving it the first slot in her yearlong series of EPs and music videos. "Tear Me Down" is one of six songs from Hedwig that appear on the EP Hall released today, kicking off her plans to release new EP album on the first Friday of every month in 2018, as well as a music video every week.

Produced by Ghostlight Records, Obsessed will pay tribute to Hall's favorite musicians and bands including Peter Gabriel, Elton John, Beck, Pink, Nirvana, Jack White, Radiohead, the Cranberries, Muse, David Bowie, and Chris Cornell of Soundgarden and Audioslave.
