Heisenberg, Simon Stephens' acclaimed two-character drama that played a sold-out run at Manhattan Theatre Club's Studio at Stage II in 2015, will move to Broadway this fall, the organization has announced. The work will begin previews at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre on September 20 and open on October 13.

Tony and Emmy winner Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds) and Dennis Arndt (The Night Alive) will reprise the performances they originated off-Broadway. Mark Brokaw returns to direct, with a creative team that includes Mark Wendland (scenic design), Michael Krass (costume design), Donald Holder (lighting design), and David Van Tieghem (original music & sound design).

Heisenberg begins in a train station where Georgie (Parker) spots Alex (Arndt), a much older man, and plants a kiss on his neck. This encounter sets these two strangers on a fascinating and potentially life-changing path.

Stephens is currently represented on Broadway by the 2015 Tony Award-winning Best Play The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. His other works also include Punk Rock, Bluebird, and Harper Regan.
