Plans have been announced for new stars to join the cast of Broadway's Anastasia. Beginning March 27, Zach Adkins will assume the role of Dmitry while Vicki Lewis will join the company as Countess Lily. They replace original Broadway cast members Derek Klena and Caroline O'Connor, respectively, who play their final performances on March 25.

Anastasia opened at the Broadhurst Theatre on April 24. The musical features a book by Terrence McNally and an original score by Tony winners Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics). Tony winner Darko Tresnjak directs. Ahrens and Flaherty penned the tunes for the 1997 animated film on which the stage musical is based, and have expanded their score, which contains the songs "Once Upon a December" and "Journey to the Past," for the theatrical production.

Adkins and Lewis join a cast that also stars Christy Altomare (Anya), John Bolton (Vlad), Max von Essen (Gleb), and Mary Beth Peil (Dowager Empress). Anastasia will mark Adkins's Broadway debut, having previously appeared in the first national tour of Kinky Boots, Murder
Ballad
(Cleveland’s Playhouse Square), Sweeney Todd (Idaho Shakespeare Festival), and Spring Awakening (Beck Arts). Lewis's Broadway credits include the 1994 revival of Damn Yankees, Chicago (opposite Charlotte D’Ambious), and Wind in the Willows (opposite
Nathan Lane).
