Model, actor, and deaf activist Nyle DiMarco will join the creative team of the upcoming Broadway revival of Mark Medoff's Children of a Lesser God as a producer. DiMarco joins previously announced executive producer Tamar Climan, producers Hal Luftig and Craig Haffner, and associate producer Sanford Block on the project.

"I am so thrilled to join this talented group of producers on a project that is incredibly important and personal to me," said DiMarco in a statement. "The opportunity to be involved in the creative process of such a spectacular Broadway show is a challenge I am excited to conquer."

Tony winner Kenny Leon directs Children of a Lesser God, which tells the story of James Leeds, a teacher at a school for the deaf, and Sarah Norman, the school's former star pupil who has become a cleaning woman rather than venture into the hearing world. When the two connect and James begins to persuade her to communicate by lip reading, they embark on a journey that will change their lives.

As previously announced, the drama will star Joshua Jackson and Lauren Ridloff, reprising roles they originated at the Berkshire Theatre Group in 2017. They are joined by Anthony Edwards, Kecia Lewis, Julee Cerda, Treshelle Edmond, and John McGinty. Actors Matthew Jaeger, Tami Lee Santimyer, Gayle Samuels, and James Caverly will serve as understudies

The creative team includes Tony winner Derek McLane (set design), Dede Ayite (costume design), and Tony nominee Mike Baldassari (lighting design), with casting for the production by Telsey Company.
