Tonight's performance of Paula Vogel's drama Indecent will be filmed by the streaming service BroadwayHD, the organization has announced. Tony winner Rebecca Taichman's production will be captured by eight high-definition cameras, with Emmy winner David Horn directing the production for the screen.

This play with music was inspired by the controversial Broadway debut of Sholem Asch's play God of Vengeance. Some saw Asch's play as a seminal work of Jewish culture, while others saw it as an act of traitorous libel. The company includes Katrina Lenk, Mimi Lieber, Max Gordon Moore, Tom Nelis, Steven Rattazzi, Richard Topol, and Adina Verson, as well as musicians Matt Darriau, Lisa Gutkin, and Aaron Halva. The production also features Ben Cherry, Andrea Goss, Eleanor Reissa, Zoë Aqua, Uri Sharlin, and Doug Wieselman.

Indecent, which ends its run on Sunday, August 6, transferred to Broadway after a production at the Vineyard Theatre that ran off-Broadway in 2016 in association with La Jolla Playhouse and Yale Repertory Theatre. The current production, which received a 2017 Tony nomination for Best Play, marks the Broadway debuts of Vogel and Taichman. Taichman won Tony, Outer Critics Circle, and Obie Awards for her direction, while Christopher Akerlind won a Tony for his lighting design, and David Dorfman won a Lortel Award for his choreography. Vogel was honored by the New York Drama Critics Circle and received a Lifetime Achievement Obie.
