Stephen Colbert, Rami Malek, and More Welcome The Play That Goes Wrong to Broadway

The new comedy is presented by Mischief Theatre alongside Kevin McCollum and J.J. Abrams.

Everything went right as The Play That Goes Wrong opened on April 2 at the Lyceum Theatre.

Directed by Mark Bell and cowritten by Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields of the troupe Mischief Theatre, The Play That Goes Wrong introduces the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society, a company attempting to put on a 1920s murder mystery. As everything that can go wrong does, the accident-prone thespians battle on against all the odds to get to their final curtain call.

The original London company, made up of Matthew Cavendish, Bryony Corrigan, Rob Falconer, Dave Hearn, Lewis, Charlie Russell, Sayer, Shields, Greg Tannahill, and Nancy Zamit, has transferred with the production for its Broadway debut.

The creative team includes set design by Nigel Hook, lighting design by Ric Mountjoy, sound design by Andy Johnson, and costume design by Roberto Surace. The Play That Goes Wrong is produced on Broadway by Kevin McCollum, J.J. Abrams, Kenny Wax Ltd. and Stage Presence Ltd and Catherine Schreiber.
