Ramin Karimloo to Play Final Performance in Broadway's Anastasia

Tony Award nominee Ramin Karimloo will play his final performance as Gleb in the hit Broadway musical Anastasia on December 3. His replacement has yet to be announced.

Karimloo is an original member of the Broadway company. He stars alongside Christy Altomare, Derek Klena, John Bolton, Caroline O'Connor, and Mary Beth Peil.

Anastasia, which plays at the Broadhurst Theatre, features a book by Terrence McNally and an original score by Tony Award winners Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics). Tony winner Darko Tresnjak directs. Ahrens and Flaherty penned the tunes for the 1997 animated film on which the stage musical is based. They have expanded their score, which contains the songs "Once Upon a December" and "Journey to the Past," for the theatrical production.

The cast also includes Zach Adkins, Alex Aquilino, Sissy Bell, Lauren Blackman, Kathryn Boswell, Kyle Brown, Kristen Smith Davis, Janet Dickinson, Constantine Germanacos, Wes Hart, Ian Knauer, Ken Krugman, Dustin Layton, Julia Morgan, Shina Ann Morris, Kevin Munhall, James A. Pierce III, Molly Rushing, Nicole Scimeca, Jennifer Smith, and Lyrica Woodruff.

The creative team includes Peggy Hickey (choreography), Alexander Dodge (set design), Linda Cho (costume design), Donald Holder (lighting design), Peter Hylenski (sound design), Aaron Rhyne (projection design), Charles G. LaPointe (hair and wig design), and Joe Dulude II (makeup design).
