Renée Elise Goldsberry, Kelli O’Hara, and More Set for MCC Theater's Miscast Gala

Ben Platt, Brandon Victor Dixon, Annaleigh Ashford, and more will also join the festivities.

MCC Theater is thrilled to announce the all-star lineup of performers set for their annual Miscast gala. This year's event, celebrating the 30th anniversary of MCC Theater, will take place April 3 at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

The performers include Tony winners Annaleigh Ashford (Sunday in the Park With George), Norbert Leo Butz (Big Fish), Renée Elise Goldsberry (Hamilton), Jennifer Holliday (The Color Purple), and Kelli O'Hara (The King and I) as well as Tony nominees Stephanie J. Block (Falsettos), Brian d’Arcy James (Something Rotten!), and Brandon Victor Dixon (Hamilton) plus Ben Platt (Dear Evan Hansen) and Hamilton star Mandy Gonzalez (Hamilton). Additional names will be announced shortly.

Honorary cochairs for Miscast 2017 include Norbert Leo Butz, Josh Charles, Hugh Dancy, Alex Dinelaris, Jenna Fischer, Jonathan Groff, Oscar Isaac, Allison Janney, Neil LaBute, Melissa Leo, Judith Light, Zosia Mamet, Julianna Margulies, Laurie Metcalf, Anna Paquin, Sarah Paulson, Piper Perabo, Lily Rabe, Thomas Sadoski, Maura Tierney, and Marisa Tomei. All honorary cochairs are artistic alumni of MCC Theater over its last three decades.

MCC Theater's annual Miscast gala features Broadway’s stars performing songs from roles in which they would never be cast. Proceeds from Miscast support MCC Theater's mission to develop and produce exciting work off-Broadway, as well as its Youth Company and partnerships with New York City public high schools, and MCC’s literary development work with emerging playwrights.
