Emmy winners Amy Schumer (Trainwreck) and Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele) will make their Broadway debuts alongside Tony winner Laura Benanti (She Loves Me) and Emmy nominee Alan Tudyk (Firefly) in Steve Martin's new play, Meteor Shower. Directed by Jerry Zaks, the comedy will begin performances November 1 at the Booth Theatre, with opening night set for November 29.

The play is described as follows: "It’s a hot night in Ojai, California, and Corky (Schumer) and her husband Norm (Tudyk) are having another couple over for dinner. Laura (Benanti) and Gerald (Key), though, aren't looking for a casual evening of polite small talk with new friends. Eventually, the two couples find themselves in a marital free-fall matched in velocity and peril only by the smoldering space rocks tearing through the sky."

The design team for Meteor Shower includes Beowulf Borritt (scenic design), Ann Roth (costume design), Natasha Katz (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (sound design).

Schumer makes her Broadway and New York stage debut in the production, while Key, who currently stars in the Public Theater's production of Hamlet, makes his Broadway debut as well. Meteor Shower will mark Benanti's first Broadway appearance since the 2016 revival of She Loves Me, and Tudyk's first Broadway role since 2007's Prelude to a Kiss.

Meteor Shower had its world premiere at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre, and had a subsequent production at the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven. It is produced on Broadway by Joey Parnes, Sue Wagner, and John Johnson.
