Keira Knightley Celebrates Her Broadway Debut in Thérèse Raquin

Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley celebrated her Broadway debut on October 29 as Evan Cabnet's new production of Émile Zola's Thérèse Raquin officially opened at Studio 54. The Roundabout Theatre Company staging uses a new adaptation of the story by playwright Helen Edmundson.
Joining Knightley (who takes on the title role) are two-time Tony and Drama Desk Award winner Judith Light (The Assembled Parties) as Madame Raquin, Tony Award winner Gabriel Ebert (Casa Valentina) as Camille, Matt Ryan (Constantine) as Laurent, David Patrick Kelly (Once), Jeff Still (Fish in the Dark), Mary Wiseman (An Octoroon), Glynis Bell (The Winslow Boy), Alex Mickiewicz (Robin Hood), Sara Topham (The Importance of Being Earnest), and Ray Virta (Hedda Gabler).

In the drama, Thérèse (Knightley) has made peace with her loveless marriage to a weak man when her world is turned upside down by the entrance of Laurent (Ryan). Unable to ignore their passion, the pair sets off on a violent path that may have far worse consequences for the perpetrators than for the victims.
The creative team includes Beowulf Boritt (set design), Jane Greenwood (costume design), Keith Parham (lighting design), and Josh Schmidt (sound design).
