The producers of Waitress announced today, National Pie Day, that beginning February 1 the Broadway musical will add a new Valentine's Day flavor to the selection of pies sold during performances inside the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Stacy Donnelly, the show's pie consultant, has created the "Berry-Sweet Valentine's Day Cheesecake," a cheesecake-flavored pie with a hint of lemon and raspberries on top.

Sara Bareilles, who wrote the songs for Waitress, is currently starring in the musical as Jenna opposite Jason Mraz as Dr. Pomatter. She will be in the show through February 25. Mraz will be in the show through February 11, with Drew Gehling, who originated the role of Dr. Pomatter on Broadway, returning to the role on February 13.

Inspired by Adrienne Shelly's 2007 motion picture, Waitress features songs by Bareilles, a book by Jessie Nelson, and direction by Diane Paulus. The production opened April 24, 2016, at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre, and earned four Tony nominations.
