Broadway's hit musical Wicked has announced the launch of a digital lottery beginning Tuesday, March 8. For all performances this spring, a limited number of tickets will be available through the digital lottery which will open at 8:30am for matinee and evening performances and will remain open until 10:30am and 2pm, respectively, when winners are drawn. Tickets are $35 each (including the facility fee).

Winners will be notified by email shortly after each drawing and will have 60 minutes to pay for their tickets online with a credit card. Tickets can be picked up at the Gershwin Theatre box office (222 West 51st Street) 30 minutes prior to show time. Photo ID is required for pickup and seat locations awarded are subject to availability.

Based on the novel of the same name by Gregory Maguire, Wicked is set in the land of Oz and tells the story of young girls Glinda and Elphaba, who grow up to become Glinda the Good Witch and the Wicked Witch of the West, respectively.

Featuring music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman, the production is directed by Joe Mantello with musical staging by Wayne Cilento. The current company is led by Carrie St. Louis and Rachel Tucker as Glinda and Elphaba, with two-time Tony winner Judy Kaye as Madame Morrible, Peter Scolari as the Wizard, Dawn Cantwell as Nessarose, Jonah Platt as Fiyero, Michael Genet as Dr. Dillamond, and Zachary Noah Piser as Boq.
