The world premiere production of T. begins performances tonight at American Theater Company.

Dan Aibel's play follows an elite figure skater and her manager-husband as they navigate towards the Olympics that will change their lives forever. Revisiting events that rocked the sporting world, T., named for Tonya Harding, explores the psychology of underdogs, desperate to rise above their class.

Featured in the cast are Tyler Ravelson (Jeff), Leah Raidt (T.), Kelli Simpkins (Joanne), Nate Whelden (Shawn), and Guy Massey (Al). Margot Bordelon directs.

The creative team includes Andrew Boyce (scenic design), Rachel Levy (lighting design), Stephanie Cluggish (costume design), and Miles Polaski (sound design). Katie Klemme is the production stage manager and Logan Boyd Jones the production manager.

Performances continue through June 25.
