Full Cast Announced for Aladdin North American Tour

Broadway’s original Aladdin, Adam Jacobs, will reprise his role on the road.

Disney Theatrical Productions has announced full casting for the North American tour of Aladdin, set to begin performances on April 11 in Chicago at the Cadillac Palace Theatre. Opening night is scheduled for April 19.

As previously announced, Adam Jacobs, who originated the title role in Aladdin on Broadway, will play the role in the show's upcoming North American tour. He played his final performance on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre on February 12.

Joining Jacobs will be Anthony Murphy (Genie), Isabelle McCalla (Jasmine), Jonathan Weir (Jafar), Reggie De Leon (Iago), J.C. Montgomery (Sultan), Zachary Bencal (Babkak), Philippe Arroyo (Omar), Mike Longo (Kassim), Korie Lee Blossey (Standby Genie and Sultan), Ellis C. Dawson III (Standby Genie and Babkak), and Adam Stevenson (Standby Jafar and Sultan).

Rounding out the cast are Mary Antonini, Michael Bullard, Michael Callahan, Bobby Daye, Lissa deGuzman, Mathew deGuzman, Olivia Donalson, Michael Everett, Karlee Ferreira, Michael Graceffa, Clinton Greenspan, Adrienne Howard, Albert Jennings, Kenway Hon Wai K. Kua, Jason MacDonald, Angelina Mullins, Celina Nightengale, Kameron Richardson, Jaz Sealey, Charles South, Manny Stark, Annie Wallace, and Michelle West.

Based on the 1992 Disney animated film, Aladdin opened on Broadway March 20, 2014. With a score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Tim Rice with songs such as "Friend Like Me" and the Academy Award-winning "A Whole New World," the show features a new book and additional lyrics by Chad Beguelin.

The creative team includes Bob Crowley (scenic design), Gregg Barnes (costume design), Natasha Katz (lighting design), Ken Travis (sound design), and Jim Steinmeyer (illusions).
