Kellie Overbey and K.K. Moggie to Star in Chicago Shakespeare Theater's Mary Stuart

Stage vets K.K. Moggie and Kellie Overbey will star in Chicago Shakespeare Theater's upcoming production of Schiller's Mary Stuart, directed by Jenn Thompson. Performances run February 21-April 15.

Moggie will take on the title role, alongside Overbey as Queen Elizabeth I. They will be joined by Andrew Chown (Mortimer), Patrick Clear (Melvil, Aubespine), Tim Decker (Leicester), Kai Alexander Ealy (O'Kelly), Kevin Gudahl (Paulet), Robert Jason Jackson (Shrewsbury), Michael Joseph Mitchel (Bellievre, Davison), Barbara Robertson (Hanna Kennedy), David Studwell (Burleigh), Nathan Calaranan (Ensemble), and Jake Elkins (Ensemble).

The new adaptation of Schiller's text will be penned by Peter Oswald. The creative team includes Andromache Chalfant (scenic designer), Linda Cho (costume designer), Philip Rosenberg and Greg Hofmann (lighting design), Mikhail Fiskel and Miles Polaski (sound design), Richard Jarvie (wig and makeup design), Kathryn Walsh (verse coach), Marylynne Anderson Cooper (assistant director), and Cailin Lowans (dramaturg).
