The black-tie fundraiser will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the company’s Women’s Board.

Tony Award winner Renée Elise Goldsberry will headline Goodman Theatre's Ruby Night spring fundraising gala on Saturday, May 19, at the Fairmont Hotel.

The black-tie event will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Goodman Theatre Women's Board, which has raised more than $43 million in support of 38 Goodman productions and an array of educational programs through special events and projects. Joan E. Clifford, Swati Mehta, and Alice Sabi are the gala cochairs.

Goldsberry is best known for originating the role of Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton. She has also starred on Broadway in The Color Purple, The Lion King, and Rent. She is a two-time Daytime Emmy Award nominee for her work on One Life to Live. Currently, she can be seen in the Netflix series Altered Carbon.
