The Chicago Magic Lounge is a close-up magic show inspired by the long lost "magic bars" of Chicago. Schulien's, New York Lounge, Little Bit O' Magic, and many more clubs were once at the forefront of Chicago's nightlife scene. The Magic Lounge takes the best elements of these lost venues, and brings close-up magic to the tables, the bar, and the stage at the Uptown Underground. We recreate the wonder of a style of magic that dates back to the 1920's, simply known as "Chicago-Style" Magic.
Get ready for a no-holds-barred vocal competition and music comedy show! Four contestants compete in a four-week voice contest, singing their best cover songs based on weekly themes and challenges. They climb through the ranks — determined by weekly audience voting — with one emerging as the season's winner!
In addition to the featured vocalists, there's a professional music improv ensemble on hand. They entertain viewers with improvised songs born from audience suggestions. Audience members themselves can volunteer to get up and sing as well!
Join select cast members, ensemble members, understudies and music directors from the 15-16 Metropolis Season, including Spamalot, RENT, and Ring of Fire as they return for a night of cabaret, singing some of your favorite songs from the Metropolis stage and beyond.

Frank Sinatra is known as "The Voice" of the 20th century. In this special show, Chicago's own Sam Fazio pays tribute to the man and his music. Listen to songs and stories from his days with Tommy Dorsey, his time at Capitol Records, and his nights in Las Vegas. Hear Sam sing the classics as well as some of the lesser-known recordings — which have all influenced Sam's unique style.
PBS television star and nationally-touring concert artist Michael Ingersoll invites you to sing along to the songs you can't forget. Ingersoll is known for starring in Jersey Boys and as a member of retro-rock sensation Under the Streetlamp. More than a singer, Ingersoll is an endearing storyteller brimming with humor, sincerity, and generosity of spirit.
Welcome to the underground drag scene, a place where many gay men create families for themselves. The legendary House of Lights is one such family. As they prepare for a competitive ball with a rival house, the members confront their respective identities within the family. Wig Out! is an electrifying tale of community, queer subculture, and sexuality.
Note: This show is recommended for mature audiences.
