Disgraced, presented by Long Wharf Theatre in association with Huntington Theatre Company, starts performances tonight at the Claire Tow Stage.

Amir and Emily are already well into living their American dream in New York City. He is about to become partner at a respected law firm, and she has a painting being considered for a prestigious gallery exhibit. Everything is upended, however, when Amir is asked to defend an imam accused of funding terrorists. The ensuing series of events not only removes the illusion of their perfect world but also forces them to examine the choices they made on their way to success.

Written by Ayad Akhtar, Disgraced won the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. The Huntington-Long Wharf production is directed by Gordon Edelstein and features Shirine Babb as Jory, Rajesh Bose as Amir, Benim Foster as Isaac, Mohit Gautam as Abe, and Nicole Lowrance as Emily.

The creative team includes Lee Savage (scenic design), Ilona Somogyi (costume design), Eric Southern (lighting design), and David Van Tieghem (sound design).

Performances will run through November 8.
