Westport Country Playhouse to Stage Appropriate

Betsy Aidem, David Aaron Baker, and more will star in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’s Obie-winning play.

Branden Jacobs-Jenkins's Obie-winning play Appropriate will be staged at Westport Country Playhouse August 15-September 2 in a production directed by David Kennedy.

The play is described as follows: "When the Lafayette children gather at the crumbling Arkansas plantation of their recently deceased father to catalog his estate, they discover a shameful legacy. In the tradition of American family dramas, from Long Day’s Journey Into Night to August: Osage County, this funny, award-winning play unleashes a series of surprises."

The cast includes Betsy Aidem (All the Way) as Toni, David Aaron Baker (Once Upon a Mattress) as Bo, Christian Michael Camporin (Finding Neverland) as Ainsley, Anna Crivelli as River, Diane Davis (Golden Boy) as Rachael, Shawn Fagan as Franz, Nick Selting (Julius Caesar) as Rhys, and Allison Winn (Netflix's Daredevil) as Cassie.

The design team includes Andrew Boyce (scenic design), Emily Rebholz (costume design), Matthew Richards (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (sound design).
