The Tony-nominated new musical Dear Evan Hansen will launch its first national tour at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts in October 2018. The production will open the theater's 2018-19 season. Additional tour stops have not yet been announced.

With a score by Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (La La Land), and a book by Steven Levenson (Masters of Sex), Dear Evan Hansen is described as follows: "All his life Evan Hansen has felt invisible. To his peers, to the girl he loves, sometimes even to his own mother. But that was before he wrote the letter — that led to the incident— that started the lie — that ignited a movement – that inspired a community — and changed Evan's status from the ultimate outsider into the somebody everyone wants to know. But how long can Evan keep his secret? And at what price?"

The production opened at Broadway's Music Box Theatre on December 4, 2016 and is currently nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical. The cast is led by Ben Platt, alongside Laura Dreyfuss, Mike Faist, Rachel Bay Jones, Will Roland, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Kristolyn Lloyd, and Michael Park. Michael Greif directs.
