Rowling, Jack Thorne, and John Tiffany, the play is written by Thorne and directed by Tiffany, with movement by Steven Hoggett. The critically acclaimed production received its world premiere in June 2016 at the Palace Theatre and, as previously reported, became the most awarded production in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director.

The production features a set by Christine Jones, costumes by Katrina Lindsay, music and arrangements by Imogen Heap, lighting by Neil Austin, sound by Gareth Fry, special effects by Jeremy Chernick, illusions and magic by Jamie Harrison, and music supervision and arrangements by Martin Lowe.

The Broadway premiere is set to open at the Lyric Theatre April 22, 2018.
