Anne Hathaway to Star in The Low Self-Esteem of Lizzie Gillespie

Anne Hathaway is set to star in the romantic comedy, The Low Self-Esteem of Lizzie Gillespie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The film will feature a script co-written by Mindy Kaling and Brent Forrester, and center on a woman with a history of dating losers who unexpectedly attracts the attention of “the hottest guy ever.”

As previously reported, Hathaway will be singing songs from Kander & Ebb’s Cabaret at Joe’s Pub on October 24. She starred in the Public Theater’s production of Twelfth Night, for which she received a Drama Desk Award nomination, and the City Center Encores! production of Carnival. She received an Academy Award nomination for Rachel Getting Married, and co-stars as Fantine in the soon-to-be-released film version of Les Miserables opposite Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe.
