Grease Live, With Aaron Tveit, Julianne Hough, and Vanessa Hudgens, Revs Up

The classic musical comes to the small screen tonight on Fox.

Fox's highly anticipated broadcast of Grease Live airs tonight, January 31, at 7pm EST.

Grease Live stars Aaron Tveit as Danny Zuko and Julianne Hough as Sandy, with Vanessa Hudgens as Betty Rizzo, Carlos Pena Vega as Kenickie, Keke Palmer as Marty, Carly Rae Jepsen as Frenchy, Kether Donohue as Jan, David Del Rio as Putzie, Jordan Fisher as Doody, Andrew Call as Sonny, Elle McLemore as Patty Simcox, Noah Robbins as Eugene, and Yvette Gonzalez-Nacer as Cha-Cha.

The cast also includes Ana Gasteyer as Principal McGee, Mario Lopez as Vince Fontaine, Eve Plumb as Mrs. Murdock, Didi Conn as Vi, Wendell Pierce as Coach Calhoun, Joe Jonas and DNCE as Johnny Casino and the Gamblers, and Boyz II Men as Teen Angel.

Adapted by playwrights Robert Cary and Jonathan Tolins, this production of Grease is based on the original stage musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, as well as its 1978 screen counterpart, written by Bronte Woodard and Allan Carr. Thomas Kail directs the production, with Alex Rudzinski serving as television director, David Korins as scenic designer, William Ivey Long as costume designer, Zach Woodlee as choreographer, and Tom Kitt as musical supervisor.

Grease Live will incorporate songs from both the stage version and the film, as well as two new songs by Kitt and Brian Yorkey. The popular "Grease" theme, performed originally by Frankie Valli, will open the broadcast sung by Jessie J.
