Samuel L. Jackson Set for Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained

Samuel L. Jackson will star in Django Unchained, according to a report in Variety. Quentin Tarantino is writing and directing the project.

The movie will focus on Django, a freed slave, who teams with a German bounty hunter to take on an evil plantation owner. The movie will also star Leonardo DiCaprio, and Jamie Foxx is in negotiations to apear.

Jackson is making his Broadway debut in Katori Hall’s The Mountaintop, which will begin previews on September 22 at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre.


His film credits include his Oscar-nominated performance in Pulp Fiction, also directed by Tarantino, as well as Shaft, A Time to Kill, Snakes on a Plane, The Negotiator, and Changing Lanes.
