Guare, LaBute, Long, et al. To Participate in Five Story Walkup

Short works by Clay McLeod Chapman, Laura Shaine Cunningham, Daniel Gallant, John Guare, Neil LaBute, Daniel Frederick Levin, and Quincy Long will make up Five Story Walkup at Thirteenth Street Rep, March 21-April 14. All proceeds from these performances will benefit the theater, which is scheduled for demolition.

This series of short plays and monologues, to be directed by Gallant, will focus on the travails of mismatched lovers, a webcam provocateur, small-town philosophers, and urban stories as they strive to maintain or escape from their domestic situations.

Gallant runs the theater program at the 92nd Street Y’s Makor/Steinhardt Center. His directing credits include Cunningham’s Sleeping Arrangements, and works by Mark O’Donnell.
