The world premieres of the musicals The Honeymooners and The Sting are on tap for the 2017-18 season at New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse.

Inspired by the iconic television series, The Honeymooners features a score by Stephen Weiner and Peter Mills, and a book by Dusty Kay and Bill Nuss. Directed by John Rando and choreographed by Joshua Bergasse, the production, which follows the new adventures of classic characters Ralph Kramden and Ed Norton, runs September 28-October 29.

The Sting, a musical inspired by the 1973 Oscar-winning film, will run March 29-April 29, 2018. It features a score by Urinetown collaborators Mark Hollman and Greg Kotis, with a book by The Drowsy Chaperone's Bob Martin. Rando directs, with Warren Carlyle serving as choreographer.

The season will also include the East Coast premiere of the musical Half Time, featuring a book by Martin and Chad Beguelin, music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Nell Benjamin, additional music by Marvin Hamlisch and Ester Dean, direction and choreography by Jerry Mitchell, and cochoreography by Nick Kenkel. It runs May 31-July 1, 2018.

On tap for late 2017 is Annie, the classic Martin Charnin, Charles Strouse, and Thomas Meehan musical, directed by Mark S. Hoebee and choreographed by Denis Jones (November 22-Decembr 31). The new year kicks off with the East Coast premiere of the political comedy The Outsider by Paul Slade Smith (January 23-February 18, 2018).
