Andrea Martin and Mark Linn-Baker Set for A.C.T.’s Imaginary Invalid

Tony Award winner Andrea Martin and stage and screen star Mark Linn-Baker will star in Constance Congdon’s adaptation of Moliere’s The Imaginary Invalidas part of American Conservatory Theatre’s annual First Look New Plays Festival, which will run January 16-27 at the Zeum Theater.

The workshop production, to run on January 26 and January 27, will be directed by Ron Lagomarsino. It will co-star Charles Dean, Carrie Paff, Steven Anthony Jones, Gregory Wallace, Jud Williford, and Margaret Head.

The festival will begin on January 16 and 17 with The Tosca Project, co-written by A.C.T. artistic director Carey Perloff and collaborator Val Caniparoli, and starring veteran dancers from the San Francisco Ballet along with A.C.T. members. On January 19 and 20, the Festival will present Jose Rivera’s Brain People, directed by Erica Gould, and starring Rebecca Wisocky, Sona Tatoyan, and Camillia Sanes.

Martin received the Tony for My Favorite Year and played Aunt Eller in the Broadway revival of Oklahoma! She is well known for her work with the comedy troupe SCTV and for such films as My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Linn-Baker’s many Broadway credits include A Year With Frog and Toad, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and Laughter on the 23rd Floor. He starred on the hit ABC sitcom Perfect Strangers.
