Fraser, Yazbeck et al. to Join Lupone, Benanti, and Gaines in Gypsy

Full casting has been announced for the Broadway revival of Gypsy, to be directed by multiple Tony Award winner (and author of the musical) Arthur Laurents. The production will play the St. James Theatre beginning on March 3, with an official opening on March 27. The production is based on the critically acclaimed New York City Center Encores! production which played City Center in July.

In addition to previously announced stars Patti LuPone (Mama Rose), Laura Benanti (Louise), and Boyd Gaines (Herbie), the show will feature Bill Bateman (Mr. Goldstone), Jim Bracchitta (Uncle Jocko), Marilyn Caskey (Electra), Alison Fraser (Tessie), Sami Gayle (Baby June), Leigh Ann Larkin (Dainty June), Lenora Nemetz (Mazeppa), Bill Raymond (Pop), Brian Reddy (Weber), and Emma Rowley (Baby Louise), and Tony Yazbeck (Tulsa).

The ensemble will feature Beckley Andrews, Nancy Renée Braun, Mindy Dougherty, Kyrian Friedenberg, Sarah Marie Hicks, Steve Konopelski, Matthew Lobenhofer, Nicole Mangi, Katie Micha, Matty Price, Andy Richardson, Jessica Rush, Alicia Sable, John Scacchetti, Geo Seery, Rider Quentin Stanton and Pearce Wegener.

The creative team will include James Youmans (scenic design), Martin Pakledinaz (costumes), Howell Binkley (lighting), Paul Huntley (hair), and Dan Moses Schreier (sound).
