Guy Davis to Perform Solo Concert at BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center

Guy Davis, currently appearing as Sunny in the Broadway revival of Finian’s Rainbow, will perform a solo concert at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center on February 5 and 6 at 8pm.

Davis, the son of Ruby Dee and Ossie Davis, will deliver a weekend of blues and storytelling that draws on the rich musical and cultural traditions of the African-American plight. The concert is being presented in conjunction with Black History Month.

Davis has previously appeared on Broadway in Mule Bone, with other theater credits including Robert Johnson: Trick the Devil and the solo show, In Bed with the Blues: The Adventures of Fishy Waters, which he also wrote. He is a three-time Blues Award nominee and winner of the Blues Foundation’s Keeping the Blues Alive Award.
