Terra C. MacLeod will play Velma Kelly opposite Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams as Roxie Hart in the Broadway cast of Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre. Both performers will join the Broadway company on February 8, with Lee continuing through March 28 and MacLeod performing through April 4.

MacLeod starred in the French world premieres of Chigago in Montreal (2003) and Paris (2004), in addition to prior engagements with the Broadway production and the national and international touring productions. She is currently making her West End debut as Velma Kelly at London’s Cambridge Theatre, through February 7. Williams first played her role last year in the London company of the John Kander and Fred Ebb musical. Her other stage credits include the title role in Aida on Broadway and the national tour of The Color Purple.

Chicago has been directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking. The creative team includes John Lee Beatty (scenic design), William Ivey Long (costume design), Ken Billington (lighting design), and Scott Lehrer (sound design).
