Barry Manilow Still Has Bronchitis, Will Miss Broadway Opening

The music legend rescheduled the opening night and weekend of Manilow on Broadway, following doctor’s orders.

Fanilows will mourn the latest Barry-Manilow-Has-Bronchitus news: Following his doctor’s’ orders, Manilow on Broadway has been forced to reschedule its opening tonight, along with the remainder of this weekend’s performances. Three previews were also canceled due to Manilow catching the bronchitis bug.

Manilow on Broadway will resume performances on Tuesday, January 29.

Tonight’s performance will be rescheduled to February 28 at 8 PM.

Tomorrow night’s performance (January 25) will be rescheduled to March 1 at 8 PM.

Saturday night’s performance (January 26) will be rescheduled to Saturday, March 2 at 8 PM.

Manilow on Broadway marks the Grammy Award-winning musician’s return to the Great White Way. He will play a limited engagement at the St. James Theatre.
Manilow’s previous Broadway credits include his Tony Award-winning Barry Manilow on Broadway and Barry Manilow at the Gershwin. He also contributed songs to Bette Midler’s Clams on the Half Shell Revue and The Madwoman of Central Park West. In the West End, his music was featured in Barry Manilow’s Copacabana – The Musical, which went on to tour the U.S., Australia, and Asia.

Among his numerous hit songs are “Mandy,” “I Write the Songs,” “This One’s For You,” “Weekend In New England,” “Looks Like We Made It,” and “Can’t Smile Without You.”
