Classic Stage Company has announced that Stephen Bogardus (Irving Berlin’s White Christmas), Jeffry Denman (The Producers), Jason Michael Evans, Amy Justman (Company), Ken Krugman (Assassins), Orville Mendoza (Pacific Overtures), Tom Nelis (Enron), and Will Reynolds will join the previously announced Melissa Errico (Amour), Judy Kuhn (Chess), and Ryan Silverman (The Phantom of the Opera) in their upcoming production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Tony Award-winning musical Passion, playing February 8 to April 7 with an official opening on February 28. Acclaimed Broadway director John Doyle (Sweeney Todd, Company) helms the production.

Passion is based on Ettore Scola’s film Passione d’Amour and follows the love triangle of soldier Giorgio (Silverman). Though engaged in a long-distance affair with the married Clara (Errico), Giorgio becomes the object of affection of Fosca, an unattractive and sickly older woman (Kuhn) while away with his army regiment.

The musical will feature costumes by Ann Hould-Ward, lighting by Jane Cox, and sound by Dan Moses Schreier.
