PigPen Theatre Co., the critically acclaimed indie-folk-band slash-theater-troupe which recently finished the run of their first large-scale off-Broadway play, The Old Man and the Old Moon at The Gym at Judson, has confirmed the dates for their Northeast tour.

The troupe will play the Mercury Lounge in New York City on February 26, the Red Room at Café 939 in Boston on February 27, World Café Live in Philadelphia on Febuary 28 and Jammin Java in Vienna, Virginia on March 1.

PigPen formed in 2008 while its seven members were students at Carnegie Mellon University. Their unique blend of theater, film and music earned them critics’ picks from The New York Times, Time Out New York and New York Magazine. PigPen is the only company to win top honors at the New York International Fringe Festival two years in a row, in 2010 for The Nightmare Story, and in 2011 for The Mountain Song.
