Sex and the City‘s Carrie Bradshaw is Back, and on Network TV

Travel back to the ‘80’s to see how Carrie went from high school nobody to fellatio-writing-about somebody in The Carrie Diaries. There will be Broadway actors…we promise.

Bust out the cupcakes and clunky overpriced shoes. Carrie Bradshaw has returned. And how… In The Carrie Diaries, AnnaSophia Robb (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) plays your favorite shopaholic sex columnist, back when she a lowly high school intern who just arrived in “the City.”

Based on the Candace Bushnell novel by the same name and brought to the small screen by the team behind Gossip Girl, The Carrie Diaries premieres on the CW this coming Monday, January 14 at 8 PM (7 Central). The cast features Broadway’s Michael James Scott (Book of Mormon) and –considering the show’s NYC locale– we expect a lot more Broadway performers playing yuppie snobs and arty new wave types where that came from.
