Totally Tubular Time Machine Counts Down to its Off-Broadway Blast Off

Totally Tubular Time Machine, a new interactive pop-musical experience, begins previews for its limited off-Broadway run on January 19.

If you’re itching for a judgment-free night of guilty pleasure, Totally Tubular Time Machine might be what the doctor ordered. Self-described as “NYC’s only interactive, inter-galactic, pop music experience,” TTTM will feature the chart-topping hits of the ‘80s and ‘90s that make us all flash back to our favorite teen movie prom scenes. Its audiences will also be given the opportunity interact with the stars (well, the actors playing the stars) that made them famous and unashamedly indulge in celebrity gossip. Some of the pop stars and tabloid favorites promised to be in attendance include Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Michael Jackson, and Madonna.

Robert Watman, CEO of the 1980s themed Culture Club — where Totally Tubular Time Machine will open for previews tomorrow night –will produce the show, alongside co-producer Denise Fennell, one of the creator’s of Culture Club’s long-running production of Birdy’s Bachelorette Party. Also among the creative team are director Suzanna Melendez, musical director Lynn Portas, set designer Lauren Helpern and costume designer Sarah Cogan.
