Bening, Dukakis, Irwin, McCormack, Rose, et al. Set for A.C.T. Benefit

San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theatre has announced the celebrity lineup for its Ruby Jubilee gala benefit, to be held on April 22 at the Four Seasons Hotel.

The benefit will be hosted by Eric McCormack and feature special appearances by Rene Auberjonois, Annette Bening, Olympia Dukakis, Bill Irwin, Lisa Kron, Matt McGrath, and Anika Noni Rose.

The company has also announced casting and creative team for the world premiere of Philip Kan Gotanda’s After the War, March 22-April 22, to be directed by A.C.T. artistic director Carey Perloff and featuring original music by Anthony Brown.

Set in 1948 San Francisco, the show will star Hiro Kanagawa, Sala Iwamatsu, Harriett D. Foy, Francis Jue, Sab Shimono, Steven Anthony Jones, Delia McDougall, Carrie Paff, and Ted Welch. The creative team includes Donald Eastman (sets), Lydia Tanji (costumes), James F. Ingalls (lighting), and Jake Rodriguez (sound).
